Now, I am studying in Graduate Accounting Pathway second semester and already live in America almost one year. Therefore, I have many experiences which can share to other students who interested with this program. I will talk about my harvest and insufficient in next part.

First, promotion of English skill. This is the most basic and uppermost harvest. The reason why we took into Pathway program is because we have a gap between to be a real graduate student, and the main problem of the gap is English skill. Thus, with the English teach and environment, our speaking and listening skill were promoted. In the meantime, due to the fact that we need to finish many writing assignments, which is more than before, so our writing skill also is improved. This promotion is not only about we learned more vocabulary or grammar, but also the right expression structure.

Second, professional academic knowledge. For accounting major, we will have four requirement major classes for pathway study, and four language classes to lead you to study as a graduate student. About the major classes, it is certainly true that it is difficult to pass. You must pay a plenty of attention to it. Since we are an international student and have a shortage in English. Thus, it will spend two or three times time than the local student to read the book. However, it also helps you to know about American accounting knowledge because there are some different rules between other countries. About the language classes, these classes could teach you about study method when you be a graduate student. For example, they will teach us how to search articles with a limited extent, how to analyze a paper, and the step of writing an academic article. All of these methods, I had used in my major class.

Finally, I also have many insufficient and mistake in my pathway study. Actually, I will have an extension pathway semester for next term. The reason is I failed one major class last semester. Although it is really difficult and extortionate requirement, I still could have a chance to pass it if I spend more time on it. Hence, this fault also gave me an alarm, I was not devoting myself to it and realized my wrong study method. In the future study, I will improve my study method and study attitude.
